For the first time since forming the Russ Becker Woodwind Studio in 1990, I am not offering regularly scheduled lessons for the fall and winter of 2018/2019.  I am, instead, taking a bit of a sabbatical from teaching to work on some exciting new projects for the future.  Please see my Teaching Studio page for details and referrals.

I continue to perform as the Russ Becker/Stephen Roane Duo with my long time musical friend and colleague, guitarist/bassist Stephen Roane.  Following the recording of our latest album, Music Of and Inspired By John Coltrane, we have been concertizing, and are already planning our next recording project.  For more information about our Duo, please visit the Performance and Ensembles page, and check out our numerous albums on my Recordings Page.

Though taking a brief hiatus this fall in my role as clarinetist with the trio, The Flying Particles, I look forward to recommencing with them in the future and will miss this season's performances.  I will keep everyone informed about their important events and additional recording output.  Please see the Recordings page to check out our albums.
